That is the complete opposite for me after using this product. The problem with this unit is the huge mess it makes to remove tough clogs. I tried filling the base of this product with the toilet water, and then pumping it. I've tried using just air at the base, pumping it once, then letting the water drain and try again with just air at the base. I also tried both these methods at different angles, speeds, and levels of force. Ultimately, I just ignored the mess it was making and used pure force and removed the clog.
